SBD Ltd Pvt, in partnership with the Nangraj Family Farm, has established the 5 Color Agriculture & Public Health Station (5CAPHS) near Kandiaro—introducing a new era of nutrition-sensitive, climate-smart, low-cost farming, groundwater testing research and public health advisory services in the SAHTI region. The initiative is based on years of research by agricultural expert Mr. Mustafa Nangraj and young researcher & CEO of SBD, Ms. Anosha.
The station was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, and Prof. Dr. Tehmina Mangan, Vice Chancellor, BNB Women University Sukkur. They initiated wheat sowing on raised beds and planted fruit trees under the ongoing 5-color horticulture program.
5CAPHS focuses on climate-resilient crops, value addition, organic farming, kitchen gardening, women empowerment and digital extension services. Current research trials include chia, quinoa, black cumin, asparagus, dragon fruit, high-density orchards, lemon-based commercial products and ground water testing research.
Training sessions, nursery research and ICT-based farmer advisory services are now fully operational at the station.
Inauguration was held on Thursday, 27th 2025.
