SBD and SRSO Sign MoU to Advance Community Development Initiatives
On November 11, 2024, Sustainable Business Development (SBD) and Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SRSO Headquarters, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on community development.
Under this partnership:
1.Water Quality Testing in Upper Sindh – As part of Project JARR, SBD and SRSO will conduct water testing in Upper Sindh using Portable Microbiology Laboratory (PML) kits. The initiative aims to raise awareness and empower communities to independently test their drinking water using PML kits for safe and convenient water quality monitoring.
2. Exploring Social Capital of Women Artisans – The collaboration will also focus on understanding the social capital generated by women artisans working with SRSO. The study will highlight how their engagement in Sindhi handicrafts has enhanced their social standing, economic opportunities, and overall empowerment.
The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Muhammad Dittal Kalhoro, CEO of SRSO, and Ms. Anosha Nangraj CEO of SBD. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering sustainable development, empowering communities, and improving livelihoods across Sindh.
